Dead Squirrel (Ars longa, vita brevis)

Mihály Kolodko’s small sculpture *Dead Squirrel* (or, by its official title, *Ars longa, vita brevis*) was unveiled on 4 June 2018 in Budapest, near Jászai Mari Square, at the start of Falk Miksa Street (behind the Columbo statue, at the foot of an electrical cabinet). The title: ‘Ars longa, vita brevis’ is a Latin proverb meaning ‘Art is long, life is short’ – which, combined with the composition’s morbid humour, lends the work an ironic undertone.
